HMIC's Pneumatic Brakes are available in both positive and negative configuration and could be operated by either diaphragms or piston actuators and at different pressure’s values. For more critical applications, where braking control has to be extremely accurate and smooth to prevent breaking within the drive train components, undesired load unbalance and process unstableness, HMIC  developed a wide range of controllers and control panels specific for each application (such as overhead crane travel, hydro-electrical generators, and tensioning system). In the specific case of tensioning control panels, HMIC provides a complete system including voltage monitoring sensors, proportional valves, programmable logic controllers, brakes, discs and interconnections.

The Pneumatic Disc Brakes are widely used for speed reducing, stopping, braking of the low or medium torque driving mechanism. The brakes can also be applied as tension brake on winding machineries, such as: paper-web tension control, news paper publishing tension control, steel unwind control, wire and cable reel unwind tension etc.
