1, For crane,winch or etc.which mainly working in level. for the continent of control and moving,generally,choose the normal opened brakes. if crane using in danger condition, such as loading melting,easy born,easy explosive chemical and so on,it will be need double brakes to ensure safe working. also,you can choosing an fail safe brake system to protect the working brake,when working brake failed to braking,the fail safe brake system will start working at once,and control the machine.

2:Correct Brake torque and disc diameter:

please supply correct brake torque, and disc diameter you need. this should be considering about the install space.

 

3: when choosing brake, you can choosing  a little big brake torque for your crane or machine. please make sure about the max brake torque you need, for example,if you need max brake torque is 1000 N.M, you can select 1200 NM, a little bigger.

 

That is : make sure about the brake torque you need,the brake disc diameter you want using .then considering about the design space.you can choosing easily.
